RALEIGH, N.C. — Our Ag Future, a key agriculture coalition dedicated to securing a robust future for American farmers, today unveiled a new TV and digital ad urging Congress to protect the duty drawback, which is critical to US farmers and the American manufacturing industry. Duty drawback was repealed in the House version of the “Big Beautiful Bill” but it has been preserved in the most recent Senate version.

As Congressional leadership finalizes the “Big Beautiful Bill” package, the ad will air in South Dakota and Idaho, in key districts such as LA-04, OH-04, and MD-01, and in Washington, D.C, Bedminster, New Jersey, and Palm Beach, Florida. The ad is backed by a $250,000 buy and will run on TV and digital platforms.

Titled “Superpower,” the ad calls on viewers to urge Congress to “stand up for American workers and farmers” and “protect duty drawback.”

Duty drawback is a provision that is vital to keeping American producers competitive on the global stage by allowing U.S. exporters to reclaim tariffs on imported goods used in products that are later exported.

Earlier this month, Senators Thom Tillis and Ted Budd of North Carolina publicly supported preserving duty drawback to protect local agriculture and rural economies. Congressman Greg Murphy also supported this effort publicly. Thanks to their support, duty drawback has been protected in the Senate version of the “Big Beautiful Bill,” but the repeal was still included in the House version.

TRANSCRIPT:
Our country was built on hard work, in the soil and on factory floors.
But now, our economy faces global competition like never before.
That hurts American workers and threatens our economic future.
To ensure America stays a manufacturing superpower, we must protect those that got us here.
Duty drawback keeps America’s farmers and workers competitive.
And when they’re competitive, we win.
Tell Congress — stand up for American workers and farmers.
Protect duty drawback.
